What do you Celebrate?
by 6th grader Juliette
From Christmas and Hanukkah, to Kwanzaa and New Years Day, everyone has special holidays they celebrate every year. Holidays come with traditions: new ones and ones that have been passed down from generation to generation for who knows how long. Whether you spend time with family or friends, holidays are times for celebration. Holidays and celebrations are about experiences and the people you share them with, and doing what feels right. You should never be counting down the minutes until it is over....if anything you should be counting down the moments until it is finally there. Hillview is a family, with many different people, and cultures. We celebrate each others achievements, and successes. There is no specific time or place for holidays or celebrations, apart from the date on the calendar. So make your own celebrations, new holidays, and new traditions.
So the question is: what do you celebrate?
wow that was nice hillview really is a family
