November 7-10

Though the week of November 7th was short, with only four days, it proved to be a week filled with ASB events.

First, the We Scare Hunger canned food drive was concluded, with a total of 4,871 cans! This means that Hillview exceeded its goal of 3,500 cans by more than a thousand. To see the academy totals of the can food drive, please see the spirit scoreboard. Thank you so much to everyone who donated!

There was also a debate between the literary candidates on Monday. And finally, the results of the mock election are in! The Grinch, representing the villain party, won the literary presidency. Thanks to everyone who supported their candidate, made campaign posters, and/or voted.

We Scare Hunger Canned Food Drive

Please remember to donate cans to the We Scare Hunger canned food drive! Cans are collected in the PAC lobby every morning before school and are counted towards your academy. All cans donated go to Second Harvest Food Bank (shfb.org) and support families in the Bay Area who cannot afford to buy food. The academies with the most cans will win spirit points. In fact, this is the largest spirit competition of the trimester. Last year, Hillview donated 3,100 food items and this year our goal is 3,500 cans. That means that if every student donated four cans, we would exceed our goal! We CAN do it!
